Ruttin and Struttin Outfitters is a family owned and operated hunting service located in Lucas county in south central Iowa. We place a high value on our hunters' safety, enjoyment of the hunt, and success of the hunt. We do extensive year round scouting and observation to ensure that our hunters' highest expectations are met.
So come experience the hunt of a lifetime where the cornfields meet the ridges and ravines of southern Iowa. Large tracks of land consisting of timber, CRP, open pastures, and crop land produce prime whitetail deer and eastern wild turkey habitats. With very little hunting pressure, we offer a quality semi-guided whitetail deer hunt and a fully guided eastern wild turkey hunt at an affordable price.
In the past, Iowa's exploding whitetail herd has produced many giant bucks in the area. With the quality whitetail management we've put in place on our farms, it will only continue to do so in the future. Several premium Whitetail Institute food plots (which range in size from 1 acre to 5 acres) not only keep our deer at home, but also draw in quality deer from surrounding properties. Dozens of stands have been strategically hung on our properties in prime locations with multiple stands in the same area to account for different wind direction. If desired, a hunter can hang his own stand or place his own ground blind to suit their hunting style. It's not our hunt...it's YOURS. We are here to assist you in any way possible.
